I Fragged Fatal1ty…Kind of
Well as promised in my previous post I have video of my going up against the man himself, Fatal1ty, in a one on one Quake 4 Death Match. The map of choice was the Quake 4 remake of “The Longest Yard” from Quake 3, which is also know by the map number Q3DM17. The time limit for the match was 3 minutes, which against someone of Fatal1ty’s calibre can seem like an eternity. Anyhow, here’s the before picture.
So everyone was smiles and happy thoughts prior to the big match. Full video is after the jump.
I was able to get one frag on him…kinda. I was at the rail gun platform, and he hopped on a launchpad to come take me down. I managed to get one shot with my rail gun, which slowed him down mid air and caused him to fall to his death. If you take a look at the video below, you’ll see it all start at about 0:30.
After that shot, the game was really on. I should note that Fatal1ty was handicapped; only being able to see a 2″ portion of his screen that included the crosshair and a small amount of viewing space around it. This seemed to be all he needed. After he respawned, Fatal1ty proceeded with the thorough kicking of my ass. The final tally was my -3 to his double digit score.
